Nel 1978, Edward & Sons ha introdotto i primi Brown Rice Snaps®. Cotti al forno invece che fritti, hanno aperto la strada a una nuova generazione di spuntini sani a base di cereali integrali. Per creare i Brown Rice Snaps®, il riso integrale al 100% viene accuratamente pulito e poi macinato in una farina fine che contiene i nutrienti essenziali del cereale integrale. Successivamente, questa farina di riso integrale viene leggermente cotta a vapore, impastata, modellata e cotta al forno fino a doratura perfetta senza aggiunta di oli. Il passaggio finale è l'aggiunta di semi di sesamo per un sapore di sesamo soddisfacente e saporito. Adatto a diete senza glutine, senza sodio e a basso contenuto di grassi.
